Matt
Ralph - 1st Trombone
Started
playing at the age of 9 with Wicken youth band on cornet. He
quickly progressed, to solo cornet. After nearly 6 years with
Wicken Coronation band he moved to Newmarket Town band and
changed instruments to trombone.
Joined Soham Comrades Band
in 2005 in time for his first L & SC area championships,
coming 6th in the championship section.
In 2005 he was also winner
of the key stage 4 section and best brass soloist prize at the
Soham Village College young musician of the year competition
on euphonium. He has also taken part and achieved good results
in many other local solo, duet and quartet competitions, both
on euphonium and trombone. Matt started playing with
Waterbeach Brass in mid-2007. |
